Our contact directory displays independent datasets: a filtered Australian healthcare subset of Overture Maps Places (release 2026-09-23.1) and a separate Australian OpenStreetMap subset extracted through Overpass on 14 October 2026. Original providers are identified per listing and in the downloadable data.
Directory entries have either manual website review or automated checks matching service terms, phone number and street details against a publicly accessible practice website. The review method, date and evidence URL are retained in the downloadable data. Automated matches do not establish registration, clinical quality or complete accuracy. Coverage is growing and is not comprehensive.
The candidate filter requires an explicit supported category, an existence confidence of at least 0.8, an Australian location, contact details and a source update within two years of the dataset release. It excludes records marked closed and unknown source licences. Operating status is missing in this extract, so we do not claim a practice is open now. These checks do not establish professional registration or guarantee that details remain current.
Changes made by Spec Book: geographic and category filtering, field selection, specialty label mapping, website URL validation and duplicate removal. This directory does not use NHSD data.

National expansion reviewed 14 October 2026 includes orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, medical oncology and allergy/immunology categories where explicit profession terms match the practice website. Category mapping is a directory classification, not confirmation of professional qualifications or treatment suitability. Record-level review methods and evidence links are included in the download.
GP listings use explicit general-practice categories and matching website contact evidence. Procedure filters use explicit terms in saved public practice website text, with a source link and check date. A mention may be informational and does not confirm a procedure is offered, that a particular clinician performs it, or that it is appropriate for you. Confirm directly with the practice. Current extraction: Overpass API, 14 October 2026. Previously displayed records not present in the current eligible extract are removed. Records require an explicit mapped profession, named location, phone, website and matching public website evidence. Original OSM record links remain in the downloadable subset.
